With access to significant support and advice from the regional library system technology staff, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supporting all computer functions in the library and will develop and implement a program of educational opportunities to meet the technology learning needs of our community. You will also use your public library reference and customer service skills as a member of our information desk team. DUTIES INCLUDE: Administration of all activities related to planning, implementation and support of all computer functions in the library, including the integrated library system (ILS), public and staff use computers, local area network, wireless network and library’s web site and e-branch functions.
Manages technology systems including installation, upgrades, repair and routine maintenance for staff and public functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from an ALA accredited college or university or equivalent experience; three years of responsible experience in library information technology systems; one year of experience working on an information desk/reference desk in a public library or customer service experience; and experience teaching adults. A flexible schedule is required, including evenings and weekends.
