Position Responsibilities:
This position exists to develop and execute a user-centered strategy for the Library’s digital environment, including developing the library’s Website; implementing and administering software systems; integrating emerging technologies; developing a social media strategy; collaborating with campus constituencies in the development and integration of library technologies and services in the wider university context; and collecting and communicating self-study information to the Library Staff. The employee in this position should possess expertise in current library trends, services, technologies, systems, and software; library policies and philosophy; and best practices in the use of analytics and assessment tools. They should possess superior communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, have project management experience, and exhibit a willingness to share expertise with colleagues.
Qualifications:
Commitment to the mission and values of a Lutheran University
Master’s degree is required – MLIS or MSIS from an ALA accredited institution
2 years of experience in administration of library web services, including both public web pages and back-end configurations is required
2 years of experience in coordination of library internal research data for evidence-based decision making is preferred
2 years of experience in configuration of Ex Libris’s Alma and Primo software is preferred
1 year of service as a collection development and reference/instruction liaison is preferred
