JOB TITLE: Support Services Assistant

SALARY: $19.90 hourly minimum
STATUS & HOURS: Full-time, (approximately 1,664 annual hours) project position through June 30, 2023. Approximately 32 hours per week. This position requires flexibility, and the ability to work a varied schedule including weekends and holidays. Weekly hours may vary based on business needs.
BENEFITS: Eligible to participate in the State Employee Group Insurance Program and a retirement program with employer contribution. Generous vacation and sick time accruals with additional paid holidays.

DESCRIPTION: This position exists to coordinate the daily services and operations of the Minnesota History Center parking lot and Market House Grab-n-Go cafe.
SUMMARY OF WORK: 1) Oversee the daily operations of the Market House Grab-n-Go; 2) Research additional product options for the Market House Grab-n-Go cafe; and 3) Oversee the daily parking lot operations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Two years of full-time professional experience or equivalent specialized training in operations, business administration or hospitality.
Strong computer skills including intermediate or higher skill level with Microsoft Office software and Google Suite applications..
Experience providing direction for staff or volunteers.
Customer service and interpersonal communications skills sufficient to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Demonstrated positive customer service skills.
Demonstrated ability to work with diverse audiences of varying cultural backgrounds, ages, and abilities in a customer service environment.
Demonstrated ability to think imaginatively and problem solve.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to multitask, work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines, prioritize and adapt to changing priorities.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and take individual initiative while also being able to collaborate effectively and contribute positively in a team environment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, reach, push, and pull.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Associate degree in business administration, operations, hospitality, or related field.
