Library Technology Manager
Provides leadership; manages and evaluates the technology systems; and analyzes the business operations of the Scott County Library (SCL). Provides strategic direction and focus in the area of library technology; formulates and implements long-term plans for developing efficient and cost-effective Information Technology (IT) solutions that support SCL’s strategy; and analyzes library business to measure performance and identify trends. Performs management duties for SCL’s digital services including, but not limited to, high-level administrative functions for SCL’s Integrated Library System (ILS), ongoing support for and coordination of library technology, development of SCL’s website, and activities and professional development of staff. Works with Library Director to ensure effective daily operations of SCL.
MQs: Requires equivalency of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration (Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science [LIS] preferred), or a related field and three years of experience with information systems and library technology. Supervisor experience is desirable. The incumbent shall provide a valid driver’s license and a reliable means of transportation for the performance of work responsibilities.
Hiring Range: $68,637 to $85,796
