MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master of Library Science degree from an ALA accredited institution
• Proficiency and experience with software applications, online databases, operating systems and personal devices

POSITION INFORMATION: The Oshkosh Pubic Library is seeking a tech-savvy professional librarian to join our Reference and Adult Services Department. This position will continue to keep the library on the forefront of technology. This is a full-time position that includes evening and weekend hours. Benefits include medical and life insurance as well as Wisconsin Retirement System participation, vacation and sick leave, and paid holidays. Oshkosh Public Library provides a full range of services to 82,000 area residents from a historically significant building. Oshkosh is situated in east-central Wisconsin, on the western shore of Lake Winnebago.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsibilities include developing and presenting classes and workshops for both the staff and public, instructing staff and public in the use of various digital technologies, helping maintain the IT infrastructure throughout the building in conjunction with the library system PC support specialist, providing information and reader’s advisory service, and working as a team member committed to achieving the strategic goals of the library.
