Children’s Librarian – Floyd County Library (New Albany, IN)

Are you the person your friends with children come to when they need a creative and engaging story time, activity or book suggestion? Do you love kids and all their goofy and amazing questions? Do you get special satisfaction knowing that you were able to connect and engage with a child in a way that has provided them with a new tool, skill or question that could mold and shape their lives? Do you believe in delivering super customer service to everyone? Even our smallest and youngest readers?

If so, then we would love to meet you! It’s possible you just might be our next Children’s Librarian. The Floyd County Library is seeking someone who loves all kids and is bursting with “out the box” thinking for programs that will engage, support, nurture and develop our youngest readers. Under the direction of the Public Services Leader this person will be responsible for implementing/creating programs, outreach, book advisory and other library tasks for our Stellar Children’s Department.
