Branch Manager of the Brainerd Public Library (Branch Manager IV), a member of the Kitchigami Regional Library System, a five county consolidated regional public library system in north central Minnesota. Kitchigami Regional Library includes 9 branch libraries, mobile library and Triple I automation system. Brainerd serves 30,000 people with 9 FTE staff. The 17,000 square foot library opened in 1986 and currently has a circulation of over 300,000. Brainerd is 2 l/2 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul and has a well-supported public school
district and a community/technical college.
Qualifications include good communication skills, dedication to public service, experience with staff development and personnel skills, fiscal management and experience with local government. MLS from an ALA accredited school required plus supervisory experience, preferably in a library environment. Library technology experience an asset. Reports to the regional library director.
