Children’s Librarian (Full-time)
The Plainfield-Guilford Township Public Library is currently hiring a full time librarian in our Youth Services department! This position is 37.5 hours per week, with at least one evening per week and one weekend per month. Ideal candidates will provide exceptional customer service to children and adults, enthusiastically promote library services and collections, and must be comfortable with technology. This position includes collection development, outreach, programs, and coordinating projects in the children’s room. Even though this full-time position requires an MLS degree, the library will consider candidates within nine months of graduating from an accredited MLS program.
Salary starts at $17/hour and is commensurate with experience; PGTPL offers a competitive benefit package.
