The Library
The Patricia D. Lundborg Cancer Library, located within the Cancer Care Center at Regions Hospital, is a resource for those who want to learn more about a cancer diagnosis.
The library relies on volunteers to greet and assist library visitors as they search for health information.
Volunteer Requirements
- Must commit to at least one 4-8 hour shift per week (Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm) for a full semester as a volunteer
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently
Primary Responsibilities of Volunteer
- Greet and provide reference service for library visitors
- Assist with circulation and monitoring of overdue materials
- Assist with collection development and maintenance
- Assist with resource development and other projects
