Position description
The Statistical Data Librarian utilizes computer software applications and the SAS programming language to edit, update, maintain, create, transfer or convert databases and data files into a usable format for statistical analyses supporting staff investigators, statisticians, administrators, and programmers.

Qualifications
An Associate degree (AA) or two years of technical school. Requires a high level of technology and systems skills along with an understanding of data file management and structure. This position requires 1-2 years experience or course work in the use of software packages for data management with the ability to transfer information between varying computer platforms. Candidates must be proficient in the use of computers, printing devices, and PC software programs and applications with literacy in word processing, database, and spreadsheet software. Knowledge of the SAS programming language or equivalent is a plus.

Additional qualifications
Experience with software packages for data management with the ability to transfer information between varying computer platforms. Highly motivated and able to work independently to meet study deadlines. Excellent communication and listening skills are needed to interact with project team members to assess current and future needs. Creative problem solving skills to logically and systematically analyze and evaluate alternative solutions with the ability to continually learn and incorporate new software packages.

Exemption status: Non-exempt
Compensation Detail: Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $20.95 per hour.
