Resource Sharing and Delivery Associate Director – Minitex

Minitex invites applications for the position of Resource Sharing and Delivery Associate Director. Reporting to the Minitex Director, this person is responsible for providing organizational leadership and direction for Minitex Resource Sharing, MNLINK and Delivery as well as representing and speaking on behalf of Minitex in local, regional and national meetings.

Minitex Resource Sharing and Delivery has provided services to patrons in the state for 48 years. This Associate Director supervises the managers of over 30 staff members. In the last fiscal year, Minitex Resource Sharing staff processed 354,780 interlibrary loan requests. Staff physically delivered more than 1,000,000 items and transmitted 70,317 items electronically to patrons and libraries. 540,494 transactions were processed on the statewide MNLINK Discovery and Interlibrary Loan System in the fiscal year 2018.

Minitex is a consortium of academic, public, school and special libraries in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota that work cooperatively to enhance the libraries’ services to their patron communities. Minitex’s suite of services promotes the effective delivery of needed information, partnerships, and library resources. A joint program of the Minnesota Office of Higher Education and the University of Minnesota, Minitex operates as a division of the University Libraries, based at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus.
