Description: Fredrikson & Byron P.A., one of the largest business law firms in Minnesota, seeks a full-time, experienced Research Librarian to join its talented Research and Knowledge Management team in Minneapolis.
Responsibilities: Perform complex legal and business research, analyze and communicate findings in a clear and concise manner, teach legal research skills training and give resource orientations, and critically evaluate and recommend legal and business information resources. Collaborate with Business Intelligence Analyst to provide market, company and other competitive intelligence research. Stay abreast of developing technologies and issues impacting law firms and information providers.
Requirements Candidates must have an MLS, 5+ years of experience providing legal and business research and training, and significant experience with a wide variety of print and online legal and business resources. Our ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, skilled multi-tasker, and able to maintain a strong service orientation in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial library environment. Requires ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong analytical skills, a high level of proficiency with desktop technologies, and the ability to quickly learn new applications is expected.
