Job Description
Faegre Baker Daniels has an opportunity for a Research Librarian to work with our Information Resources team in our Minneapolis office. You will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing in-depth legal and non-legal research and analysis services, including the development of current awareness services, training and user education. This position will work with other talented individuals who share a passion for doing great work in the best interest of our clients.

What you would do in this job:
• Provide research services in person or by various virtual formats
• Provide thorough reference interview and in-depth legal and non-legal research using sources both within and outside the firm
• Summarize and analyze research results
• Track billable and non-billable time and provide actionable metrics on research services provided
• Conduct library training sessions for incoming and existing legal and non-legal personnel
• Implement use of current awareness services by formulating searches and subscribing users
• Provide suggestions to managers regarding improvements to the collection
• Maintain awareness and understanding of emerging technological developments as they apply to research, information, communication and learning initiatives
• Ad hoc projects and duties, as assigned

Requirements
• Master’s Degree in Library, Information Science or equivalent, or at least 4 years of professional experience in legal, business or technical library, required
• 3+ years of experience in a law firm or corporate library preferred
• Knowledge of a wide variety of information sources and the ability to evaluate their appropriateness or usefulness for the firm and individual research assignments
