SALARY:    $3,816.00 monthly minimum

STATUS & HOURS:    Full-time, regular (approximately 2,088 annual hours) position.

BENEFITS:     Eligible to participate in the State Employee Group Insurance Program and a retirement program with employer contribution.  Generous vacation and sick time accruals with additional paid holidays.

DESCRIPTION: This position exists to support MNHS attendance, revenue and audience development goals through the coordination and delivery of guest services and box office functions.

Responsibilities include the following: Manage adult group scheduling for Historic Sites; assist with coordinating the daily operations of the MNHS Program Ticketing  and Adult Group Scheduling Office; assist in the development and implementation of strategies designed to promote MNHS programs and increase attendance and revenue; assist in program evaluation and business planning.

SUMMARY OF WORK:  1) Manage the daily operations of the MNHS Box Office and Guest Services Center; 2) Manage adult group scheduling for MNHS; 3) Perform daily operations of the MNHS Box Office; 4) Develop and implement strategies designed to promote MNHS programs and increase attendance and revenue; and 5) Assist in program evaluation and business planning.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Three years experience in customer service administration or front of house operations like box office, group scheduling, and ticketing operations.

  • Knowledge of box office and scheduling software.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.

  • Previous experience in promotions and customer service.

  • Ability to meet project deadlines while working in a busy environment.

  • Ability to handle phone calls with tact and diplomacy while moving conversations along as needed.

  • Familiarity with accounting principles, office procedures, administrative methods, and personnel management.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and take individual initiative while also being able to collaborate effectively and contribute positively in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to think imaginatively and problem solve.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service and human relations skills.

  • Ability to train others in use of computer programs and in customer service practices.

  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with Google applications, Word, Outlook, and Excel.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working knowledge of Tessitura and Artifax scheduling software.

  • Previous experience working with project management software (Ex: Trello or other).

  • Broad knowledge of MNHS programs, services, policies, and procedures.

  • Familiarity with guest studies research and evaluation techniques.

  • Ability to adapt to new technology as it emerges and apply it to program operations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
