The City of Faribault has an opening for a Library Technician at the Buckham Memorial Library for the City of Faribault. This position performs technical library work with a variety of para-professional library duties. It provides library services to the City and a portion of the County. Basic activities include the acquisition of materials, organization and circulation of materials, assistance in the use of materials, reference services, and maintenance of library resources.
Position Requirements
• High School education or equivalent.
• Ability to deal effectively with the public.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of library practices, policies, and philosophy.
• Ability to use a computer, Internet, email, mobile devices and emerging technologies.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Prefer a BA degree or combination of educating and experience in library support.
