Library Intern – National Marrow Donor Program

Primary Duties:
The Marketing Insights (Library) intern will work primarily with marketing staff focused on designing, developing, and creating an integrated marketing library. The person in this role will research best practices around internal library designs, determine the best tools and technology to house the library, design the framework, gather and categorize the content, and create a best-practices rulebook for integrating the library into the marketing function. This is a hands-on internship that will provide the opportunity to make valuable contributions to our life saving work, and allows the intern to utilize the library design as a class project.

Experience:

Minimum Education:
Currently enrolled in a marketing or library sciences- focused Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program at a college or university. Completed at least two years of relevant coursework.

Minimum Experience:
One previous internship preferred.

Key Knowledge:
Catalog and categorization methodology.

Key Skills:
Strong time management skills. An interest in talking to people and a passion for problem solving. Attention to detail, as well as strong written and verbal communications skills. Understanding of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Internet search applications. Knowledge of SharePoint preferred.
