Description
Pine Technical and Community College is seeking an unlimited, part-time Librarian. Responsibilities include developing and delivering library services for on-campus and online students. The Librarian will coordinate and supervise circulation, periodicals, inter-library loan, reserves, cataloging, and electronic resources. Work with faculty and staff to identify library materials to support classroom instruction. Assist individuals utilizing library technology resources. Coordinate information literacy programming for online and on-campus students; and additional duties as assigned by the Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs.

Minimum Qualifications: Education Requirement
• Master’s degree in library science or equivalent degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Two years of professional library experience.
• Experience working in an educational setting.
• Working knowledge of the following: ALEPH and OCLC; Electronic Subscription Databases such as EBSCO and GALE; Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work both independently and with a variety of people as a team member.
• Problem solving skills as they relate to library operations.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work with a diverse student body with a broad range of interests and abilities.
• Effective Planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and peers.

Under the collective bargaining agreement with the Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF), new instructors to the Minnesota State College Faculty system receive a salary placement based on education and related experience after a job offer is accepted. The maximum salary at hire is $54,500 per academic year, depending on education and experience.
