SPA is seeking candidates for the position of Middle and Upper School Librarian. This is a temporary, part-time (.75), 10.5 month position, which begins August, 2017

The Randolph Campus Librarian directs and oversees all aspects of the library which serves grades 6-12. The RC Librarian is a member of the K-12 Academic Council and reports to the Assistant Head of School. The position requires collegial collaboration with teachers in two divisions, excellent interpersonal skills with students and adults, proficiency with reference tools, book selection criteria; strong technology skills and effective administrative skills. The RC Librarian supports students and teachers in two divisions through research consultations and instruction, collection development, administrative management of subscription services and budget oversight, and management of the library space during and after school. Additional responsibilities include supervision of one support staff member. Successful candidates should have a combination of educational and/or work experience that demonstrates familiarity with libraries and research skills including knowledge of copyright and academic honesty; excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills; and experience effectively managing a program budget. Preferred qualifications include an MLS degree from an accredited degree program and experience in a school library or media center.
