Job Description
This dual position is responsible for presenting the library curriculum for our K-5 students in a way that fosters life long love of books and reading. The librarian works with the library assistant to keep the collection updated to best meet the needs of the students in K-8. Our goal is for all students to be highly engaged in class with a desire to explore a variety of genre. The students have a short lesson each week followed by the opportunity to check out books for the week.
The Enrichment portion of the position is responsible for providing a reading and math enrichment experience for students who qualify in grades one and two. This teacher is responsible for collaborating with the classroom teachers to create a positive, challenging learning experience that helps the students think both critically and creatively.
Job Qualifications
Qualified candidates for this position must have a current Minnesota Library Science degree or Teachers License with a strong foundation in Children’s Literature. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with students, colleagues, and parents.

Nativity of Our Lord Parish and School is a dynamic, engaged community located in the Macalester Groveland neighborhood of Saint Paul. The parish was established in 1922 with its first mission of building a Catholic School in 1923.
