Head of Childrens
The Kokomo-Howard County Public Library is looking for a Head of Children’s Services to work with us in creating opportunities for our library and our community. If you want to work with children and educators to make a difference and to provide equal, valued learning opportunities, then you could be the leader we are looking for at KHCPL. Some things you will be responsible for: provide daily operation support of the Children’s Department, coordinate children’s programming and activities within the department and system-wide, and be part of a leadership team which is collectively responsible for achieving common objectives for the library. Qualifications are an accredited MLIS or equivalent, Indiana State certification LC3 or higher, and at least three years relevant experience as a supervisor. Candidates must also have a valid Indiana driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one by their date of hire. Starting pay for the position is $25.22 an hour. This is an exempt, full-time position that requires at least 40 hours a week, and will sometimes include evening or weekend hours to fulfill programming obligations.
