Finance and Administrative Services Manager

The Arrowhead Library System, located in Mountain Iron, MN, is seeking an experienced, resourceful, and team-oriented person to lead our business office as the Finance and Administrative Services Manager. This position is responsible for supervising and training staff of the ALS Business Office as well as financial reporting, grant management and administering the employee benefit plan. The Finance & Administrative Services Manager is a member of the management team in organizational planning including coordination and execution of the strategic plan.

The successful candidate should offer: Networking and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain effective working relationships; Ability to work consistently without direct supervision; Thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and governmental accounting procedures; Considerable knowledge of analyzing and developing budgets; Supervisory skills; Organizational skills; Excellent written and oral communication skills; Advanced proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, accounting, and on-line applications and resources ; Operating knowledge of the Google suite including the region-wide e-mail system, documents, spreadsheet and analytics; Driving skills and possession of a valid Minnesota driver’s license.

Qualifications include:

  • Completion of a four-year degree in business, accounting, or a related field from a college or university of recognized standing.

  • At least four years of related experience, including at least one year of related supervisory experience.

  • Preference may be given to candidates with successful completion of licensure or certification programs in accounting, human resources, business management or office practices.

Starting Salary: $60,395 – $71,052 annually. Benefits include accumulation of vacation and sick leave hours; paid holidays; Health, Dental, and Life Insurance programs; and participation in the Minnesota Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA).
