Discovery and Metadata Librarian – UW-La Crosse Murphy Library

Murphy Library at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse seeks an innovative and collaborative librarian to provide leadership in the areas of discovery and metadata. To create a successful user experience and foster student learning, the Discovery and Metadata Librarian oversees metadata and bibliographic control for all library collections and manages Murphy Library’s integrated library system, discovery service, and interlibrary loan service. This position also assists in reference, information literacy instruction, and collection development in assigned subjects. This is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in an environment that supports and encourages librarianship, scholarship, and service.

Salary and Rank: Competitive salary for a full-time, 9-month tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Partial summer contracts may also be available.

Projected Starting Date: August 31, 2020.
