Data Resource Specialist – Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging

What Will You Be Doing?
• Working with a team to maintain data for the MinnesotaHelp.info® website
• Provide timely and excellent customer service to both internal and external customers
• Understand data context to guide decision making as regards updating website content targeted at consumers
• Contribute to established and new Focus on Quality goals to continually improve the data

What Skills Do You Need To Be Considered for This Position?
• Bachelor’s degree in human service, English, library science, or information technology
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex information management environment
• Minimum of one year experience working with databases. Experience designing, implementing and interpreting SQL database queries is a plus.
• Demonstrated use of information technology to solve problems.
• Ability to learn and apply the AIRS Taxonomy of Human Services.
• Proficiency utilizing the Microsoft Office suite particularly Outlook, Word and Excel. Prior experience with MS Access is a plus.
• Knowledge of data driven websites, database based computer applications and the use of taxonomy for coding data.
• Knowledge of human services, human service agencies and government, legislative, and public policy processes is a plus
