Description
Hennepin County Library is seeking a Senior Librarian in Collection Management Services (CMS). CMS is the department within the Hennepin County Library that is responsible for the selection and acquisition of all library materials as well as overall maintenance of the collection.

The Senior Librarian will be responsible for data analytics for CMS as well as system-wide data collection, analysis, and reporting. Other job duties include system-wide collection maintenance duties with special emphasis on HCL library buildings undergoing renovation or refurbishment. This person will also serve as the Project Manager for various collection related projects including the implementation of collection analysis tools.

Location and hours:
This position is located at the Ridgedale Library at 12601 Ridgedale Drive, Minnetonka, MN 55305. Work hours will be Monday through Friday, any time between the hours of 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

In this position, you will:
• Analyze available collection data for use in making selection and de-acquisition decisions.
• Collect and report Hennepin County Library statistics to local, state, and federal agencies.
• Support and implement system-wide collection management and maintenance programs using vendor tools.
• Collaborate with Hennepin County Library staff on collection maintenance activities particularly for library building undergoing renovation or refurbishment.
• Select and supervise the selection of additions to and withdrawals from the collection.

Need to have:
• An ALA-accredited Master’s degree or higher and three years of professional library experience.

· Collecting and analyzing data.
· Planning projects, maintaining records, and preparing reports using project management and continuous improvement principles.
· Serving, leading or facilitating on a system-wide project team
· Planning and managing the incorporation of computer technology into programs and services supervised.
· Modifying your workflow to accommodate a change in the population served or a change in technology.
· Maintaining fiscal responsibility for assigned areas of the collection budget.
