Cybrarian – sgsco

Position Summary
The Cybrarian provides workflow support and coordinates the flow of the Digital Assets in and out of the online database used by the customer. This role will assist with workflow intake, and manage Digital Asset storage. As a cybrarian, you will enable the focus of overall Brand development strategy and allow sgsco to create efficiencies in the artwork production process.

Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Understand the Digital Assets Management system being used by the customer.
• Understand file transfer and storage procedures as this relates to the customer’s files.
• Upload, download and understand metadata hierarchy required, which will be used to code each asset for retrieval.
• Manage requests to download high resolution images, JPEG files, PDF files, and requests to send links and fulfill requests from our international affiliates.
• Communicate with sales, production, and customers to relay information and make appropriate recommendations.
• Assist Project Managers with order entry, shipping, billing processing, etc.
• Utilize the online proofing (OLP) system to review and, QC and route projects
• Record metadata associated with digital assets ensuring accuracy and consistency of information.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues related to management of client’s digital assets.
• Seek out technical assistance from plant resources when necessary.
• Train other personnel regarding operating procedures pertaining to 3M asset management.
• Print downloaded materials.
• Catalog printed samples.
• Maintain established procedure for the filing of proofs and other documents: OLP files, PDFs, proof reports, etc
• Attend scheduled workflow meetings.

Educational & Experience Requirements:
• Minimum 2-year degree in the graphic arts.
• Knowledge of standard graphic art software programs.
• Photography and advertising agency experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of prepress and printing processes.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of computers (PC and Mac) and related software (i.e. Excel).
