Children and Youth Services Librarian – Park Falls (WI) Public Library

Live and work in the center of Northern Wisconsin’s Chequamegon National Forest, with outdoor recreation opportunities and natural beauty on your doorstep.

Duties include: Directs Children and Youth Department, serving users from 0-12th grade. Material selection and children’s collection development, reader’s advisory, children and youth reference, children and youth programming, other duties in the Children’s Area; some adult circulation desk service and reference duties, contributing to library’s on-line presence. Additional duties as assigned.

Schedule includes evenings and alternate Saturdays

Qualifications: Experience in children’s service, and college-level public library course work required, MLS/ALA preferred. Knowledge of history and current trends in children’s library material. Computer and Internet skills, customer service for children, and excellent interpersonal skills required. Public library experience serving children is preferred.

Park Falls Public Library is part of the Indianhead Library System and the MORE shared library automation consortium. We are a well-supported progressive community library in a historic remodeled building that is a community center.

This is a Full-Time professional position.
