Responsibilities
The successful candidate will teach a full-time load of graduate/undergraduate courses (12 credits each semester). Courses taught will include, but are not limited to preparation of library/media specialists and technology integration. In addition, the candidate will be expected to promote department programs and participate in other departmental work including advising graduate students and serving on committees. Teaching day and evening classes using both face to face and distance delivery strategies will be required.  Faculty are expected to demonstrate the ability to teach effectively, engage in scholarly achievement or research and continued preparation and study, contribute to student growth and development, and provide service to the university and community. Qualifications

Required:
• Master’s degree required in Information Media or equivalent field.
• Demonstrated knowledge of library media specialist role in educational settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge state library media specialist licensure requirements.
• Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.

Preferred:
• Doctorate in Information Media or related field.
• Experience as a library media specialist in K-12 schools.
• Experience teaching in a library media specialist preparation program.
