Assistant Librarian – American Craft Council

Reporting to the Librarian, the Assistant Librarian will carry out day-to-day operations and services of the ACC specialty art and craft collection library. Responsibilities include serials management, digital archives, catalog, research, patron assistance. Part-time role at 10 daytime hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Library Science or Library & Information Science. Graduate library degree coursework preferred. Three to five years working in a library setting. Experience in art/craft library collection is desirable.

Cataloging experience with catalog and digital archive systems. OCLC Client, WorldCat, Koha and CONTENTdm preferred. Strong research skills in both print and electronic media. Working knowledge of RDA, LCSH, LC classification, and MARC.

Demonstrated success in working independently and as part of a team. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Experience directing work of volunteers.

Able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
